Frequently Asked Questions
-
How long does a lease application take to complete?
Clune's application process is efficient and quick, usually within 3 hours from start to finish.
-
What is the interest rate?
Leasing is a stream of payments and does not break out the payments into principal and interest, much like renting an apartment versus buying a home. Clune's lease payments are very competitive - and NEVER include added charges such as interim rent and escrow fees.
-
Can I get a lease if my company is new?
Clune will consider leasing to a new business for up to 24 months with approved credit.
-
What types of equipment can a business owner finance with a lease?
-
What's my balance?
We suggest that you either call Clune at (800) 862-6633 or email us at custservice@clune.net and we will get the information back to you.
-
What does this past due notice mean?
Past due notices are mailed 11 days after the due date as a reminder to our customers that we haven't yet received their monthly payment. Most leasing companies charge late fees after one day late. Clune gives a 10-day grace period. The past due notice shows the payment amount, any accumulated late fees and a total due. We would appreciate the customer giving us a call if the payment is in the mail or if there are extenuating circumstances as to why it hasn't been paid.
-
Can a lease with Clune & Company be paid off early? Are there pre-payment penalties?
You may pay off your lease early, without any prepayment penalties or termination fees.
-
Why should I lease instead of buy?
Our owner has written an excellent article on this very subject.

What is a UCC?
A UCC filing is a notice of security interest filed using the Universal Commercial Code. The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC or the Code), first published in 1952, is one of a number of uniform acts that have been promulgated in conjunction with efforts to harmonize the law of sales and other commercial transactions in all 50 states within the United States of America.
We only file a UCC (security interest) on the collateral that has been financed through Clune unlike some lending institutions that file blanket liens on all your equipment and/or real estate, whether they financed it or not.
