What's Growing in your Garden?

Kevin F Clune, CLP

After a chilly start to May, I think that Spring has finally arrived. With new growth sprouting up all over, most of us are taking steps to keep the weeds from taking over our yards and landscaping.

The visual of the dandelions and the accompanying message that is presented in this newsletter is appropriate to the season and defines a vital concern in the leasing industry. Unfortunately, there is not a chemical application to wipe out hidden fees and surprises in a lease contract. However, some precautions can be taken before signing the lease contract that will guarantee a good outcome.

Leasing customers might seek answers to the following questions:

            1.  What is the best way to finance your equipment?

            2.  What lease program option is best for your situation?

            3.  Which leasing company has the easiest application process?

            4.  What surprises and hidden fees should I be aware of when examining the lease contract?

Equipment Vendors might have the following concerns:

            1.  Which leasing company will guarantee customer retention?

            2.  Can I find a leasing company with a quick, easy and paperless process for both my customer and myself?

            3.  We want to provide our customers with extremely competitive rates.

            4.  The leasing company I recommend should respect my desire to maintain a relationship with my customers.

Sometimes a picture can say 1,000 words and we hope this image helps you to see a new way of weighing your decisions regarding the sale and acquisition of capital equipment. It is important to determine the outcome your business desires to achieve before selecting the equipment finance option that best suits these goals.

In this Spring season, we hope that both your garden and business has been treated for weeds so that it can flourish with healthy and abundant growth and prosperity.

Happy Gardening,
