Behind the Scenes at Clune & Company II

"Was our very own Bernadette the inspiration for the Four Tops Song by the same name?"

This is just one of the questions we asked before hiring lender, Bernadette McDevitt, when she reported a brief stint in the radio business (she also worked in property management prior to joining Clune & Co). Regardless of the real story, we at Clune and Company feel that Bernadette is a celebrity in her own right.

She has now been with our company 12 years, starting as receptionist and administrator. When a lending position became available, Kevin (Clune) felt that Bernadette would be a good fit, and encouraged her to switch hats. His instincts proved on target, and Bernadette is now our Senior Lender. She has even challenged herself by taking the Certified Lease Professional exam, earning her CLP designation.

Bernadette has also earned the confidence and respect of many of our customers who prefer to work solely with her. This is a true testament to her professional and pleasant job performance skills.

Outside of the office, Bernadette derives her greatest joy in life from her five young and very active grandchildren, her children, extended family, and the companionship of Maggie, her Jack Russell Terrier. Originally from Minne-SNOW-ta, Bernadette has not lost her Northern twang nor her Midwest work ethic. We are happy that she is part of our family.

The newest lender to join our team is Kindra Mynatt, who brings a mixture of fresh perspective combined with the experience of more than 11 years in accounting and customer service. Kindra has jumped right into her role working in accounting, lending and collections. Her calm and reserved personality belies her straightforward communication skills and ability to respond to the need of her customers - working with them to establish mutually agreeable terms.

From Kindra’s perspective, she is enjoying every challenge that her new job brings to her and looks forward to the new experiences ahead. Stating that previous employer's have never asked for her professional opinion or advice, Kindra is adjusting to the unique Clune business model, in which every employee is encouraged and empowered to suggest and implement policies for improvement. Our company wide monthly meetings and our annual strategic planning retreat enabled Kindra to not only become acquainted with all aspects of our processes, but to develop a closer association with the entire Clune team.

On the personal side, Kindra and her husband, Dan, live in Kansas City, MO with their two teenage daughters. In her free time Kindra enjoys working in the yard, camping, reading, dinner with the neighbors her weekly movie night with her daughters. Their family also enjoys traveling throughout Missouri and the Midwest on the competition BBQ circuit.

Arguably the most outgoing member of our Company, Camille Vieux is highly suited to lead our sales efforts, working in telesales, sales support, marketing, and as an administrative assistant. Having joined Clune in 2000, her prior experience - included 12 years in the leasing business - makes her well qualified to provide credit analysis, and leasing contract services. Additionally, Camille has become competent in creative report management, enabling Clune to chart trends and analyze market demand - all with the goal of serving the needs of our customers.

Camille displays her nimbleness as she switches “hats” from sales to lending without skipping a beat. The vendors who work with Camille trust her to manage their lease contract services directly with their clients, taking them out of the middle and creating a more efficient process.

A Kansas City native, Camille is glad to be close to her very large and busy extended family, and her immediate family of 2 college aged children. Being a high energy individual, Camille’s outlets include gardening, college visits to her children, and Kansas University basketball and football events.

Her energy is also felt in our office, making Camille a valuable team player, and promoter of “The Clune Difference”. While there may not be a song written about each of our very talented lenders, their personal and professional service can be like music to your ears!
